These animals can slide in the air for long distances. They are fond of sweet foods, and in the wild they consume tree gum. They closely resemble American squirrels, and have a very soft gray coat that is white or cream on the underside. Some sugar gliders are raised on farms; hunting them is frowned upon because they're really just rodents.
