Sugar Glider Squirrels - Natural History

The Sugar Glider Squirrels belong to the family Petauroidea. In the wild, Gliders are tree dwelling creatures. At night, they hunt for insects and small vertebrates. These animals got their original name for their love of sweet foods and their unique ability to glide through the air in the manner flying squirrels do it.

These amazing animals are capable of making glides of over one hundred meters. They tend to use their long tails to control the direction of their flight. Sugar Gliders are very active animals.
